My Iconic Auckland Eat is a little pizza restaurant in the centre of Kumeu. There're not many restaurants in Auckland that have been going as long as they have, and still look the same now as when I ordered pizza from there almost 25 years ago when I lived just down the road. Even now when you walk into the restaurant, it feels like you have been transported back in time! Don't get me wrong, I love new and modern, but every now and then you just want to know you’re getting that age old comfort. Warm surroundings, friendly smiles and same tasty affordable food! My go to is a pizza (of course) called a Quattro Stagioni. Prawns, ham, salami and mushrooms packed onto a thin pizza base and cooked to crispy perfection, with some dried chilli flakes on the side.
