Poderi Crisci - Italian
Awarded by Hope Smith
It was beautifully presented, comprising three separate garnished vegetables on one platter, very tasty and oh so colourful, using all fresh ingredients from their garden. 1. Melanzane al Pomodoro, deliciously lightly fried eggplant with cherry tomatoes, black olives, capers and garden basil. 2. Peperoni in Padella, being capsicum prepared with black olives, capers, Italian parsley and garlic. 3. Brocoletti which comprises Broccoli tips braised with sultanas, pine nuts, breadcrumbs and anchovy. So very Italian, at a beautiful location on our "Jewel in the Hauraki Gulf" - the perfect place to spend a lazy Sunday over a Long Sunday Lunch, we loved every dish we were served and it was completed with an Espresso Martini. Great staff and great food, an experience not to be missed! * The produce featured in this dish changes with the seasons and the dish photographed features pumpkin, capsicum and field mushrooms.
