I'm not Filipino, but this dish shows the true culture of what Auckland - or even wider New Zealand - is about. To be able to accept another culture’s soul and embed it into your life. This dish is also a symbol to the people behind it, that you can do something to impact people’s lives. Yes it’s a simple dish, but means so much - and importantly - tastes epic.
