When you see the queue at Giapo at 10pm on a weekday night you know word has gotten round. First the waiting, then the tasting, then the choosing. It’s all too hard. Do I try something new? What about the classics? This is ice cream like no other. Once you’ve chosen it’s brought to you in disguise. There might be flame toasted nuts on top, or a macron or candy floss …. This is not a Mr Whippy. Watch the tourists Instagram their choice and when you’re done walk past the queue that somehow is still halfway down the street.
