The fish sliders at Depot are a classic, the dish is quintessentially kiwi - showcasing our beautiful, locally sourced fish; freshly baked and delivered (from Auckland) sliders; locally sourced watercress and a beautiful house-made preserved lemon mayo. It is the perfect balance of flavours and textures and incredibly moreish - available all year round and never gets old! When I'm recommending any restaurant and dish to people who visit the CBD, Depot and the fish sliders are top of my list. I believe they have been on the menu since Depot first opened its' doors and there are no signs of it going away. A trip into the city is incomplete without a trip into Depot for fish sliders. They are iconic because they are a little bit casual, a little bit fancy but all round tasty and revered by many!
