You can't make a list of favourite kiwi dishes without our much loved fish and chips and these delicious fish sliders from Al Brown's Depot is a bloody epic version of that. Depot's menu is absolutely iconic but you really can't go past the fish sliders - pan seared fish, often snapper, slathered in a yum-as pickled lemon mayo with watercress and tucked in some toasty soft buns and hear this, they come in threes, which you could have all to yourself or here's a tip: always order an extra if you're on a date, rather than having to fight over the third bun. Add on a side order of potato skins to complete the fish and chips of your dreams.
