Chef Matt Lambert was a child of a friend back in the 80's and he's worked his way up from Michaels restaurant in Henderson and had his own restaurant in New York called the Musket Room. He has always been inspired by his childhood and food that he had here in west Auckland and we love his take on the iconic fish and chip takeaway at The Lodge Bar. We went for our anniversary and were blown away by this dish - it was so delicious and unexpected, so much so, that I bought it for my son the following week on his 30th to enjoy...its soooo sooooo good.
