Gathered daily from the nearby Mahurangi Harbour, these plump oysters are a true expression of the region, savoury and absolutely delicious. Find them at the funky green shed roadside shed just a short distance past the Matakana village on the Leigh Rd. You can devour a dozen or more sitting at sunny outdoor tables, take them home for a dinner treat or look out for them on restaurant menus around the district.
